REMARESS COLLABORATES WITH THE IE LAW SCHOOL’S LEGAL CLINIC

The IE Law School, one of the most important law schools in Spain and Europe, initiates its legal clinic in 2014 with the aim of providing the students with practical experience in the practice of law.

The program allows undergraduate students —under the direction of a LL.M student and supervised by professors and practising lawyers— to participate, on a pro bono basis, in the legal counselling of different institutions (NGOs, foundations, associations, social entrepreneurs, etc.) that develop social projects all around the world.

The IE Law School’s Legal Clinic enriches every participant both professionally and personally and contributes, through legal counselling within a multicultural and intergenerational team, to the development of a better world.

In our case, we have supported the project of a social entrepreneur, Tania Fouqué, in the legal counselling for the establishment and development in Spain of the Portuguese social Startup Speak -Share your world-. This Startup connects migrants and refugees with local people to help in their social inclusion through a language and cultural exchange program, promoting equality and democratising language learning.

This project has been developed by the undergraduate law students from the IE University Alba Carralón and María Antonia Campos, under the direction of the student José María Puerto, from the double Master in Access to Legal Practice and Legal Counsel, and with the support of Antonio Camacho Núñez, from Remaress. Congratulations to everyone on the excellent work.
